The Brande Biennale
Another unique art event is taking shape in the heart of Mid-Jutland’s Brande. Before long, the city
will present its inaugural edition of the Brande Biennale – an international art event with a focus on
networking across borders and cultures. The biennial will take place for the first time from
September 21 to October 1, 2023.
The Brande Biennale has drawn inspiration from the renowned La Biennale in Venice and brings
together a number of talented artists from around the world – this year from Europe – for an
exciting collaborative network with art at its core. This innovative art event will unfold over a period
of ten days, during which the artists will work individually on their art, unleashing their artistic
potential in a shared space with artists from other countries for mutual inspiration.
The Brande Biennale is created with a vision of connecting artists across geographical boundaries,
enhancing artistic expressions, and promoting cultural exchange. By bringing together artists from
diverse backgrounds, we aim to create a unique environment that fosters artistic collaboration and
cultural understanding.
The inaugural Brande Biennale will feature the participation of artists, categorized as follows:
Artists
Young Artists – Talented artists from the younger generation will have a unique opportunity to
explore and develop their artistic voices during Brande Biennale 2023
Nordic Artists – Acknowledged artists from the Nordic countries will share their art forms and bridge
the gap between the Nordic art scene and the international audience
Danish Artists – Acclaimed Danish artists will represent the national talent and create their artworks
inspired by the network
European Artists – Artists from other parts of Europe bring a wide range of artistic styles and
perspectives to the event, enriching the overall cultural experience.
The artistic direction of the biennale is overseen by renowned curators.
