Curators

Bente Jensen
Art historian Bente Jensen, former artistic director of KUNSTPAKHUSET in Ikast (2007-2022). Currently working as a freelancer (curator, consultant, and writer).
“In my professional career, I have always worked with curating and communicating art in various contexts. Contemporary art, in particular, is close to my heart. New artistic practices and perspectives on art and art appreciation strongly appeal to my professional curiosity.
I have gladly accepted the task of being (co)curator for Brande Biennale 2023. I have previously followed and written about the international workshops in RemisenBrande and Gludsted.
The idea of revitalizing and rethinking an international workshop in Brande is exciting – and perhaps much-needed. It will be interesting to follow the first edition of Biennale 2023 and see what new art forms and engaging initiatives the concept brings forth.”

Zanda Jankovska
Zanda Jankovska is the Artistic Director and Curator at KUNSTPAKHUSET in Ikast.
She holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the Latvian Academy of Arts with a specialization in performance.
She also holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Sociology from the University of Southern Denmark with a specialization in social art.
In the art scene, she has experience as a curator and researcher and has worked as a reviewer for several international magazines and journals.

Sally Dalgaard
Sally Dalgaard Sally Dalgaard is 26 years old (born in 1997) and has just graduated from the Jutland Art Academy (2018-2023).
“During my time at the academy, I have increasingly focused on the collective, organizational, and practical aspects of art production. Among other things, I have been running the exhibition space Storage in a broom closet in my apartment since 2019.
Currently, I am working on a sequel to the film ‘The Swap: The Movie,’ in which a white plastic horse from Poland ends up in Skovsnogen in Herning.”
I am delighted to be offered the task as co-curator of the Brande Biennale; I look forward to assembling a team of artists who will have the opportunity to challenge their own practices in a new context.
